Axcess Ontario Announces New Board Officers

Donna Reeves-Collins will serve as board chairwoman
Canandaigua, N.Y., Feb. 11, 2013 — Axcess Ontario, the public-benefit corporation that oversees the 200-plus-mile open-access fiber optic ring in Ontario County, is pleased to announce its new slate of board officers.
Donna Reeves-Collins, a former senior executive with Frontier Communications and founder of Cole & Parks in Victor, has been named Axcess Ontario’s new chairwoman. At Frontier, she directed the start-up of new distribution channels, managed the turnarounds of struggling divisions, led sales, human resources, marketing, and various joint ventures, and as senior vice president of sales, was responsible for a nationwide sales organization and over $1 billion in annual revenues.
Reeves-Collins is currently a managing director with Rich Products Corporation and founder at Cole & Parks. After developing some proprietary and patent-pending products, she formed a joint venture with Buffalo-based Rich Products in 2007.

Ed Hemminger, former CEO of Axcess Ontario and retired Ontario County Chief Information Officer, has been named vice chairman of Axcess Ontario. Hemminger is government sales director at SMS, Inc., an international information technology services company. He was named State Public Sector CIO of the Year in 2009.
Camille Sorenson of Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and Doug Mossbrook of Eagle Mountain in Bristol, Ontario County, will continue to serve as secretary and treasurer of Axcess Ontario, respectively.
